Pittsburgh Announces Vaccination Mandate for City Employees.
PITTSBURGH (AP) – City of Pittsburgh employees who is not fully vaccinated against coronavirus by Dec. 22 could be fired under a new term announced by the mayor.
Mayor Bill Peduto said Monday, November 1, that workers who remain unvaccinated before the deadline and who do not obtain a medical or religious exemption could face “employment action,” including leave without pay or termination.

However, the mandate is based on a previous immunization requirement for new hires. He is already facing a setback, with the head of the police union promising legal action.
