Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver the inaugural speech of the post-budget online webinar from the Ministry of Defence on “Atmanirbharta in Defence-Call to Action.”
The Union Budget 2022-23 for the Ministry of Defence has given an additional boost in the direction of Aatmanirbharta in Defence, as stated by the Ministry of Defence in an official statement.
The Ministry has organized an event after the budget titled “Atmanirbharta within Defence: Call to Action on the Announcements in the Budget of the Defense Sector.”
The event aims to engage all participants in advancing the different initiatives taken by the government in the defense sector.
The webinar is scheduled to take place early on Friday. “The PM will give the inaugural speech,” added the ministry in its statement.
The webinar will feature panel discussions featuring renowned presenters and specialists from the Ministry of Defence, the defense industry, industry fora, startups, academics, and more interactive sessions with key participants.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will facilitate the final session. The webinar will feature breakout sessions that include an increase in the capital procurement budget for the industry in the country (Opportunities and Opportunities), establishing an all-encompassing Defence R&D ecosystem in the country as well as Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) that are created by industries together with DRDO and other organizations, in addition to meeting broad-based requirements for testing and certification through the creation of an independent, nodal umbrella body.
Department of Defence Production the sessions are designed to allow maximum interaction with the participants to establish a more participative strategy for the implementation time-bound of the announcements during the Budget.
The webinar will be live-streamed on the YouTube channel operated by the Department of Defence Production.
