Congress chief Rahul Gandhi will begin the two-day trip to Karnataka to consolidate the party and get ready for the upcoming Karnataka Assembly elections, scheduled to take place in 2023.
According to sources, a lot of meetings are planned for Congress leaders. He was the former Congress president and scheduled to attend his Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee’s (KPCC) extended executive meeting.
He is expected to encourage the party leaders to prepare for the Assembly elections scheduled for this year. Congress sources told.

The former Congress vice president is also expected to host an informal meeting with the party’s frontal organization before returning to Delhi as per the president’s program shared with the unit in charge of the state.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge also informed that Rahul Gandhi would meet with top party leaders and seek to strengthen the party ahead of the forthcoming elections.
“He will meet with senior leaders, frontal organisations, and the party’s executive committee. Also, he will visit offices of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee office,” Kharge said.
On his trip, Gandhi is expected to pay tribute to Shivakumara Swamiji, the late Shivakumara of Siddaganga Math, in Tumakuru on the 115th anniversary. He had been awarded the title of “Walking God.”
The following Thursday, Gandhi will likely go to Sree Siddaganga Math in Tumkur at about 4 pm on the road. He is expected to pay tribute to the Dr Shri Shivakumara Swami on the day of the Jayanti. The Congress leader is scheduled to have an interview with Bengaluru leaders.
Friday this Friday, the Congress head will visit the KPCC office and attend the executive meeting along with the frontals.
