Rahul Gandhi’s 3-Day Kerala Visit To Begin From Today

Rahul Gandhi’s 3-Day Kerala Visit To Begin From Today: According to party sources, Rahul Gandhi, a congressman, will go to his home district of Wayanad one week after SFI members vandalize his office. SFI is the CPI(M) student arm, the party in power.

They announced Thursday that Mr. Gandhi would attend several events during his three-day tour, including opening a farmers’ bank building in Mananthavady and the UDF Bahujana Sangamam in Sulthan Bathery.

The Congress leaders will welcome Mr. Gandhi when he arrives at Kannur International Airport on Friday morning. KPCC Chief K Sudhakaran will head them.

On Sunday, he would travel from Kozhikode to Delhi.

The SFI protest march against Mr. Gandhi’s office in Kalpetta last week, intended to draw attention to his alleged inaction on the issue of eco-sensitive zones around forests, descended into violence after several activists allegedly broke into the office of the Lok Sabha member and vandalized it.

The Wayanad MP’s office, according to the Congress, was vandalized by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s knowledge.

The Congress-led UDF brought up the subject in the State Assembly on Monday, disrupting the proceedings and prompting the Speaker to postpone the House for the day.

The senior official in charge of the region was suspended, and SFI employees, including women, were detained, according to the CM, who claimed that everyone in the CPI(M), from the district level to the state headquarters, had denounced the assault.
