In Monday’s second and final Test against Sri Lanka, Ravichandran Ashwin did something even more impressive.
India beat Sri Lanka by 238 runs in Bengaluru. A player named Ashwin took six wickets in the match.

Ashwin, who took 2 for 30 and 4 for 55, became the first player in the World Test Championship to take 100 wickets (WTC).
Ashwin, who took 71 wickets in 14 games in the last WTC cycle, has already taken 29 wickets in seven games in the current cycle, which means he has now taken 100 wickets in 21 games.
Thus, he became the first cricketer in WTC history to take a hundred wickets in a single game.
Ashwin is sixth on the list of the top wicket-takers in this WTC cycle, with his teammate Jasprit Bumrah on top of the list (40).
During the third day of the pink-ball Test on Monday, Ashwin also broke Dale Steyn’s record of 439 Test wickets to become the eighth highest wicket-taker in the history of the long format.
Shane Warne, Muttiah Muralidaran, James Anderson, Anil Kumble, Glenn McGrath, Stuart Broad, Courtney Walsh, and Glenn McGrath are now ahead of the 35-year-old.
They have all scored more than 800 runs (519).
If you look at the current active players, Anderson and Broad are ahead of him.
It doesn’t stop there: Ashwin is India’s second-highest wicket-taker after the legendary Kumble.
Ashwin had taken 434 wickets in the first Test match of the series in Mohali, making him the second-most wicket-taker in Test cricket history for India.
Ashwin has taken 442 wickets in 86 games as a Test bowler, including 30 five-wicket hauls and seven 10-wicket hauls.
