Russian military plane disappears mysteriously from mid-air.

Russia’s military plane mysteriously disappeared from the air. The plane lost contact with air traffic control during a flight near the eastern city of Khabarovsk on Wednesday.

Russia’s Emergency Situations Ministry said AN-26 was last seen on radar about 36 kilometers from Khabarovsk airport. No more military aircraft were found at 7:45 pm local time on Wednesday.

According to Russian government sources, there were six passengers on board. The government dispatched 40 rescue members to the area in a Mi-8 helicopter and a vehicle to search for the plane.

However, the ministry said the rescue operation was not being carried out properly due to darkness and unfavorable weather conditions.

Besides, you should note that Russia’s aviation safety regulations have been called into question due to such accidents before. An Antonov An-28 plane suddenly disappeared from the Siberian skies last July.

Russia’s Emergency Situations Ministry said the plane, called SiLA, landed in a field due to mechanical failure. All the passengers on the aircraft have been rescued.

However, one thing to note is that a Russian passenger plane crashed into the sea a few days ago. As a result, twenty-seven passengers died in that incident.
