Russia’s military plane mysteriously disappeared from the air. The plane lost contact with air traffic control during a flight near the eastern city of Khabarovsk on Wednesday.
Russia’s Emergency Situations Ministry said AN-26 was last seen on radar about 36 kilometers from Khabarovsk airport. No more military aircraft were found at 7:45 pm local time on Wednesday.

According to Russian government sources, there were six passengers on board. The government dispatched 40 rescue members to the area in a Mi-8 helicopter and a vehicle to search for the plane.
However, the ministry said the rescue operation was not being carried out properly due to darkness and unfavorable weather conditions.
