A 32-year-old Tacoma man was killed in the shooting; six other victims, who sustained varying degrees of gunshot wounds, are now receiving medical attention at nearby hospitals.

Initial evidence suggested a confrontation outside of a large gathering that may have included more than one suspect, according to police. However, no one has been arrested, and it hasn’t been possible to figure out what the disagreement was over.

According to the department, a number of agencies were requested to help because of the enormous crowd. The inquiry is still underway.
