Sidhu Moose Wala Murder: Punjab Police Present Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in Court

Punjab Police produced gangster Lawrence Bishnoi before Chief Judicial Magistrate in Mansa court on Wednesday in connection with the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala.

After Delhi’s Patiala House Court permitted Punjab Police to arrest mobster Lawrence Bishnoi in connection with singer Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder and also granted Punjab Police’s transit motion on Tuesday, Lawrence Bishnoi was brought to Punjab.

Lawrence Bishnoi’s lawyer, Vishal Chopra, contested the Punjab Police motion, claiming that there is a security risk. If transit remand is granted, there is concern that Lawrence Bishnoi would be “eliminated.”

According to Lawrence Bishnoi’s lawyer, we are not opposed to virtual questioning and inquiry. “We are just challenging his remand to Punjab for physical transport. If necessary, Punjab Police may detain him in the matter, but only in Delhi, “He said.

On May 29, unidentified attackers shot and killed Sidhu Moose Wala in Jawaharke village in Punjab’s Mansa district. The incident occurred a day after the Punjab police withdrew his protection and 424 others.

Notably, the musician joined the Congress party in December last year, just before the Assembly elections.
