'Simply not good enough': Thomas Tuchel

In a resounding Gunners victory, Gabriel Jesus, Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, and Albert Sambi Lokonga all scored goals.

Tuchel, the manager of Chelsea, hinted that his team would not be prepared for their Premier League debut against Everton on August 6.

I’m not at all at ease, Tuchel said. “We just weren’t good enough. Simply put, we were not competitive.

In front of a record-breaking 63,811 spectators at Orlando’s Camping World Stadium, the Gunners controlled the game.

Jesus gave Arsenal the lead within 15 minutes following his £45 million transfer from Manchester City, and three more goals sealed a convincing victory.

Arsenal has won all three games on their recent US trip while scoring nine goals.

‘Simply not competitive.’

After the game, Tuchel said that his team “deserved to lose.”

The frightening element, he said, is that Arsenal showed a far better degree of physical and mental dedication to this game than did we.

They performed with what I believe to be their best lineup and organizational structure in recent weeks. They tried to start with this lineup for games in the Premier League.

“Our lineup was not the strongest. This is just a small portion of the explanation; the rest is more concerning.

“I can’t promise that we’ll be prepared in two weeks.”

Chelsea made their third and last appearance in the game during their US tour. They had earlier defeated Club America of Mexico 2-1 before falling to Charlotte FC of Major League Soccer on penalties.

Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli and Raheem Sterling from Manchester City are Chelsea’s two most notable acquisitions this summer. Romelu Lukaku, Antonio Rudiger, and Andreas Christensen are a few players.

After being acquired by a group headed by US billionaire Todd Boehly, Chelsea now has new owners. The transaction was finalized after the UK government slapped fines on former owner Roman Abramovich.

Tuchel said, “I looked at the previous season and the games and seasons when we suffered, and then we were sanctioned, and players left us, and some players are attempting to leave us, and this is where it is now.

So, a great number of high-caliber players have urgently sought after. We have two excellent players, but we need this level of competition. Unfortunately, it was visible today.

According to him, the one bright spot for Chelsea was the addition of Koulibaly with 20 minutes remaining.

Tuchel said, “He was the greatest player.” He was talented, I must say.
