The Alapan Bandopadhyay issue is close: Says Mamata Banerjee.

Meanwhile, lawyer Abu Sohel has filed a public interest lawsuit in the Calcutta High Court against the Center for sending a show-cause notice to Alapana Banerjee even after his retirement.
When the Prime Minister called a meeting in Kalaikunda to inspect the post-Yash situation in the state, the then Chief Secretary Alapan Banerjee was not present. Therefore, the Center show-caused him protested under the Disaster Management Act.
According to the IPS, IAS rules of 1954, the transfer of a bureaucrat working in the state needs to discuss with the state. He complained that the central government did not follow this procedure. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
