Two female soldiers wish to be posted in Afghanistan.

The court is also shocked. The war is going on there, and still, wanting to post there? Yes, two female ITBP constables had recently filed a petition in the Delhi High Court seeking posting in Afghanistan.

Though the plea was dismissed on Saturday as the matter was purely administrative, Justices Amit Bonsal and Amit Sahai surprised the two constables’ thoughts.

Still, want to go there? The two women constables had filed the petition in court on August 15 before the Taliban seized Kabul. Although the petition was rejected, the two heroines remained steadfast in their will.

According to ITBP sources, they were sent to Kabul in August 2020 to provide security for the embassy. That’s right, and they’ll be there for two years.

But as the situation worsened, the two constables were brought back to India in June. They wanted to return to Kabul. But why?

They told the court that they wanted to be posted in Kabul by the side of the women and children who came to the embassy.

Even though their bodies are in India, their minds are on the war-torn Afghan country.

After hearing them and the ITBP, the bench said, “It is the ITBP’s own administrative decision to post as required. The court cannot interfere in this.

Yet, we were shocked by the courage of these two female constables and their willingness to stand by the people.

But there is nothing to do. Why can’t these two constables be sent back to Kabul? The ITBP said, adding that three female constables are still there. They are not needed now.
