Udaipur Murder Case: Mohammad Moshin 5th Accused In Udaipur Tailor's Murder Arrested

Tuesday saw the arrest of the fifth suspect in the murder of Udaipur tailor Kahaiya Lal, according to the police.
Mohammad Moshin, 30, has been named as the accused.

Moshin was detained on Tuesday in Udaipur and turned over to the National Investigation Agency, a terror investigation agency (NIA). On Monday, Mohsin was hauled up in Udaipur after the murderers are said to have taken his name during questioning.

Riyaz Attari and Mohammad Ghouse, the two main suspects in the murder, are said to have received assistance from Mohsin.

The 30-year-old had assisted the principal suspect in observing or reconnoitering Kanhiya Lal, the tailor, as he moved.

On June 15, Kanhaiya Lal alerted the police to threats he was getting. Ghouse and Riyaz plotted and executed the tailor’s murder on June 28.

In case Ghouse and Riyaz weren’t successful, the murderers had Moshin and an Asif waiting in case they needed them. After the murder, the latter was aided by the first two to flee.

Despite Moshin being a member of the conspiracy, according to police sources, it is still unclear what part he played in the murder.

The four more defendants were brought before an NIA court on Saturday and were given a 10-day police hold order.

As the inquiry moves further, it is becoming more apparent that the murderer, Riyaz, and Ghouse were not acting alone and had several connections to Udaipur, according to authorities.

Nazim, the individual who first filed an FIR against Kanhaiya Lal, is also being questioned by the police.

Additionally, it seems that the assassins planned to assassinate at least one more person in Udaipur, a businessman whose home they reportedly also inspected.

Tyre merchant businessman requested security for himself and his family.
