On Tuesday, the seven suspects in the murder of chemist Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur, Rajasthan, will be presented in court by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Jaipur.
Before that, the accused had been remanded to NIA custody till July 12, according to special public prosecutor T P Sharma.
A tailor named Kanhaiya Lal was slain on June 28 in the Dhan Mandi police station area of Udaipur by two men brandishing cleavers, Riaz Akhtari and Ghouse Mohammad, to a contentious social media post.

A graphic video of the incident had been uploaded online by the accused.
After the incident, Akhtari and Main Mohammad were both detained in Rajsamand.
Mohsin and Asif were taken into custody on June 30th, two days later. They reportedly participated in the murderous plot and had scouted out Kanhaiya’s store.
Later, the NIA detained Mohammad Mohsin, Wasim Ali, and Farhad Mohammad Sheikh on various occasions.
They were all brought in individually before the judge. For them to appear in court together, the NIA requested that they be kept on remand until July 12.
