Bolpur’s Assembly / Vidhan Sabha constituency is located in the Birbhum district of West Bengal. It belongs to the Bolpur (SC) Lok Sabha constituency.
According to the 2019 voter list, there are 2,58,956 electorates and 286 polling stations in this constituency. Voter turnout was 85.65 percent in the 2016 assembly election.
Winners and results of previous elections
In the 2016 West Bengal Legislative Assembly elections, Chandranath Singha of the Trinamool Congress won the constituency. In the 2011 elections, Chandranath Singha of Trinamool Congress defeated Tapan Hore of RSP.
The Bolpur assembly constituency is home to a total of 3,28,531 people, of which 69.72 percent are rural and 30.28 percent are urban.
According to the orders of the Delimitation Commission, Bolpur (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is made up of Bolpur Municipality, Ilambazar CD Block, and Raipur Supur, Ruppur, and Sattor gram panchayats of Bolpur Sriniketan CD Block.

Election dates and times
The Bolpur (SC) Assembly constituency will go to the polls on April 29 as part of the eighth and final phase of the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections.
Voting will begin at 7 am and will continue until 6 pm. An additional hour from 6 pm to 7 pm has been reserved for COVID-19 positive patients as well as those who isolate themselves at home.
Elections for the West Bengal assembly are held in eight phases, up from seven last time, starting with voting for 30 seats on March 27 in phase 1, 30 seats on April 1 in phase 2, followed by the third phase on April 6, 31 seats, the fourth phase on April 10 for 44 constituencies, the fifth phase on April 17 for 45 seats, the sixth phase for 43 seats on April 22, the seventh phase on April 26 for 36 seats and the last and eighth phase on April 29 for 35 seats.
The state is in the hands of the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC with an absolute majority, with Mamata Banerjee in her second consecutive term as prime minister. The ruling party is fighting a pitched battle with its archrival BJP and its allies in the NDA, while the Congress-Led Sanyukt Morcha is also a key player in the fray.
