A new chief minister for Manipur will be decided by the BJP parliamentarian board, along with the State unit, the state president of the party, A Sharda Devi, said on Thursday.
The governor added that it would also be in place when Governors invite the group to create an administration.

BJP is poised to reach the majority threshold in the state assembly with 60 members.
“As a national party, we have a parliamentary board, which in consultation with the state unit will decide who will be the next chief minister,” Devi declared in response to a question about whether there would be a new chief minister or N Biren Singh is going to remain in his post.
In terms of how the time frame will be for the party to decide on the timeframe, she stated, “As per rule, the governor will invite the winning party once the full results are out. So the government formation process will happen and other processes will follow and by then, we will be ready.”
In the earlier part of the day, Devi said that BJP’s impressive performance at this year’s Manipur Assembly elections indicated people’s confidence in the party’s governance and policies.
In awe of the BJP’s victory and victory, she stated that the party would not just be able to meet its aim of winning by itself and also beat the prominent leaders of opposition parties.
“This time we’ve been able to do well in areas where we have not won before. The party has gained majorly in pockets which are considered Congress strongholds. It shows that the people of Manipur have accepted us and the governance we’ve provided,” she stated to PTI in an interview here.
Other than focusing on 40 or more seats, Devi asserted, “We had also set out to defeat big opponents of other parties in this election. I believe we have achieved that target as well.”
She also stated that local parties such as NPF and the NPF, along with the NPP, have expressed interest in supporting the BJP.
What message she wants to convey to the Congress that leads only in three seats, the BJP leader claimed it’s those living in Manipur who decide how they wish to proceed with the growth and growth of the state, and elected officials should comply with their directives.
“The Congress should always remember that,” she said.
