WhatsApp administrators will have more control over new users: When you need to form big groups rapidly. WhatsApp Group connections may be beneficial. For example, admins could provide a shareable link, and all appropriate members may join the group by clicking on it.
However, since the link may fall into the wrong hands and anybody could join the group, this convenience created a security problem.
This problem has now addres in a recent WhatsApp version. Admin Approval is a new feature in the latest WhatsApp beta version that allows group administrators to approve or refuse requests from members who join through a link.
According to WABetaInfo, the functionality is now only accessible to beta users and will soon be available in stable versions of the program for Android and iOS.
When it becomes available, the WhatsApp Admin Approval function will need to manually enabled for each group of administrators with the capability to operate. The toggle to turn it on or off will accessible in the group settings as “group membership approval”. And once the function switch on or off. All current users in the group will get a brief notice to let them know.
When the group membership approval functionality enable. Administrators will see requests for group membership in a distinct sub-section of the Group Info section whenever someone attempts to join the group through a shareable link. Administrators may choose which people they wish to let into the group.

This feature is still in development, so it may take time before it becomes a stable WhatsApp version.
